The Nasjonalmuseet in Oslo serves as Norway’s national museum of art, architecture, and design, consolidating several previous institutions, including the National Gallery. It features iconic pieces such as Munch’s “The Scream.”
The museum selected Mazedia to develop the mobile application for its new flagship location in Oslo.
This project was carried out in collaboration with Bleed, a leading European design agency with offices in Oslo and Vienna. The application offers a wealth of features and innovations, leveraging Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence to deliver a user-friendly and meaningful experience.

Indoor geolocation allows visitors to precisely determine their location within the museum and easily find the artwork of their choice.
Predefined routes are available based on visitors’ interests and desired visit duration.
A high level of personalization is offered, including the selection of artworks to explore and digital ticketing.
