As iconic French national museums located along the Seine in Paris, the Musée d’Orsay—housed in a monumental former railway station—and the Musée de l’Orangerie together hold the world’s most prestigious collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist masterpieces.

In partnership with Alto Onsite—the provider responsible for content production and on-site operations—Mazedia deployed a new tour application across a fleet of 1,500 LOOK 3 audioguides.

The objective: to create a seamless user journey and simplify the technical management of a massive hardware inventory.

Developed specifically for LOOK devices using our Wezit Mobile solution, the application fully leverages the hardware’s capabilities to provide fluid navigation. A Web App version will soon complement this ecosystem, allowing for a smooth transition toward hybrid usage (rented hardware or “Bring Your Own Device”).

The application features intelligent multitasking: audio playback for a Point of Interest (POI) continues uninterrupted even if the visitor leaves the page to consult the interactive map or explore other sections. This continuity enhances immersion and listening comfort.

The mediation offer covers all permanent collections and temporary exhibitions in 10 languages. Mazedia paid particular attention to inclusivity, featuring dedicated children’s tours designed for curious young minds and native integration of French Sign Language (LSF) tours.

To meet Alto Onsite’s logistical challenges, Mazedia deployed Wezit Companion, our dedicated MDM (Mobile Device Management) tool. This technical layer allows distribution staff to manage the 1,500-unit fleet in real time: battery levels, content updates, and hardware monitoring are all centralized for flawless daily operations.
