If you love the exhibitions being held at the RMN Grand Palais, as much as we do, you probably have downloaded an app for each of their temporary exhibits. Our all-time favorite apps were the ones created for exhibitions such as “Artists & Robots” or “Gauguin: The Alchemist”.
However, this is changing, as the Grand Palais is always in search for innovative ways to connect with their visitors. They revealed this fall a new all-in-one app! Yes… all the Grand Palais in one app that empowers visitors to fully engage in the current and upcoming exhibits!
Elegantly designed, smartly conceived and above all user-friendly, this app has the following enhancements:
Agenda: The agenda empowers visitors to see all current and future events happening at the museum. A notifications service regarding important visit preparation information, as well as the highlights and cultural program such as conferences, concerts, films…
Box Office feature: users have the option to get tickets for the exhibit, as well as purchase of their Sésame pass, program, an “Expo-Pass” for exhibitions held at the Grand Palais and the Luxembourg museum.
Location: A “You are inside the Grand Palais” or “You are outside the Grand Palais” mode, where users can locate themselves around the exhibits rooms. In addition to this, the app offers visitors some tours, either paid or unpaid guided tours for each of the rooms displaying elements of the exhibit, incorporating innovative technologies such as image recognition.
Everyone can enjoy the audioguides with this new app, built in with an interface designed with accessibility features in mind for the hearing and visually impaired, never before the museum’s mediation efforts have been as inclusive as now. As always, the audio guided tours are available not only for adults but also adapted for younger audiences and in several languages.
