The Maison des Mémoires of Annemasse is a site dedicated to local history and the transmission of the memory of the Resistance, located at the heart of the former Pax prison, an emblematic building from the Second World War.
The City of Annemasse commissioned Mazedia to design and produce the audiovisual and digital installations integrated into the new scenography, in order to enhance understanding of the site and highlight its archival heritage.

The project brings together several complementary installations: two interactive kiosks allow visitors to explore the escape routes used by Resistance members and key memory sites through interactive maps, points-of-interest sheets, motion-design sequences and interviews.

Five interactive totems present the faces of Resistance members and Pax prisoners through slideshows and archival montages accompanied by voice-over narration.

A digital leaf-through interface provides access to the complete digitisation of the prison’s register, enriched with points of interest to facilitate navigation.

Enfin, une projection immersive, parfaitement intégrée à l’architecture du bâtiment, restitue virtuellement la partie disparue de la prison et propose une déambulation en 3D ponctuée de silhouettes, d’images d’archives et d’une bande sonore originale.
