Mazedia has based its development on innovation. We are always focusing on the evolution of uses.
Our research supports a long-term approach which, step by step, helps to develop a solution at the crossroads of the needs from the cultural, business and institutional sectors around smart and creative cities as well as transmedia solutions.
Wezit Studio is the most emblematic expression of Mazedia’s R&D. Marketed around the globe, it relies on strong innovations to dynamically connect contents and contextualise uses on numerous heterogeneous devices. This project has benefited from several research programmes since 2009, when the first study on the subject was launched: the AAP PME projects (call for proposals to SMEs) from the « Images et Réseaux » Cluster and Design’in of the Pays de la Loire Region were completed with the support from the French National Research Agency for the project “Culte”.
A new project FUI23: EC-BRIDGE allows our teams to improve Wezit’s features on new yet unaddressed segments. Other flagship projects such as the European project H2020 Filmset, managed by the University of Zaragoza in Spain, or the project Avatar 1:1, managed by the SME Cantoche, have also mobilised Mazedia’s research teams. They’ve led to new areas of innovation, now more specifically targeted towards new user experiences, administered by Wezit Studio. Falling under the responsibility of the CTO, the R&D team combines both expertise in human science and technology.
